Meet The Women Of Country Music

Now that I’ve introduced you to some of the hot men in country music I think it’s time that I share some of the hottest women in the industry. There are a lot of good looking, talented females making country music these days. Some of them you’ve heard of for sure.

At the top of the list right now is Miranda Lambert. It’s only fitting that she comes first since Blake came first on the men’s list.

She’s the reigning Female Vocalist of the Year. She’s cute as a button. She’s got a killer voice and I’ve had a crush on her since I lived in the 8th floor apartment in Ottawa and Kerosene launched her career.

There are some people who bitch about her not being the super skinny starlet that the media is used to… eff you!

Next on my list is the most predictable pick – T.Swift.

Taylor is 22 now and is growing up to be a good looking woman! At first it was creepy crushing on her since she was underage… but now it’s all good. Whether she’s singing about missing love or bad boyfriends or Tim McGraw or fairytales – it’s a hit.

It’s also a huge bonus to her popularity and attractiveness that she comes across as a good person with a great sense of humor. Don’t believe me? Check her out on Ellen.

And if you haven’t heard her cross out of the country scene and into the folk/indie rock picture check this out.

It’s easy to single out the solo ladies in country and way too easy to forget the women in the bands so here’s a shout out to Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum. She’s pretty and classy and can sing and is on top of the world right now.

Note: Scott’s mother is Linda Davis who famously dueted with Reba on Does He Love You in 1993.

There’s no doubt that you’ve heard Need You Know on the radio on a country station or pop station or in the grocery store or something. But if that’s all you’ve listened to please do yourself a favor and watch some YouTube videos. The band sounds great and starting with Hillary they are pretty easy to look at.

Last on the list is a surprise entry: Kelly Clarkson!

Sure she’s not a traditional country star but she’s getting there. With her singles being played on country radio, duets recorded with Reba and Jason Aldean and her southern heritage – the original American Idol is becoming an alternative country favourite.

I’ve always dug her as a pop star and I dig her even more as a country star in jeans and boots. I hope she keeps doing what she’s doing.

Honorable mentions in the good lookin’ ladies of country music category go to:  Faith Hill, Sara Evans, Jennifer Nettles, Kellie Pickler, Carrie Underwood, Michelle Branch and more that I’m sure I am forgetting right now.

Country music is full of talented and good looking artists. Get out there and discover some today!

Enjoy!
